Parsley (Petroselinum crispum)
Parsley is a biennial plant with bright green feathery foliage. It has a mound-like shape and grows about 1 foot tall by two feet wide. Parsley prefers slightly acid soil, full to part sun, and well-drained soil. This plant does best at temperatures between 50 to 70 degrees and it tends to suffer in humid and hot conditions with temperatures that are frequently over 90 degrees.
Since parsley can be dug up and brought indoors during the winter, it makes a great houseplant that provides culinary use as garnish and seasoning.
