Marigold (Tagetes spp.)
Copyright: Fred Miller
These charming little plants are a lovely addition to any garden. They are small bushy plants that have dark green feathery leaves and a unique fragrant scent. They bloom in a variety of oranges, yellows, maroons, and bi-colors. They are easy to care for and do best if the spent blooms are removed.
Deadheading prolongs bloom times and helps the plant produce additional blooms summer through fall. Marigolds are a wonderful delight to have around your home.
