A caterpillar has three main body parts which are the head, thorax segment, and abdomen segment.
- The head is where you will find the eyes and mouth for eating.
- The thorax segment is in the middle of the caterpillar. The three pairs of true legs are found here.
- The abdomen segment is at the opposite end of the head. This is where four pairs of prolegs and spiracles are located.
