Desert Cloudywing Skippers - Butterfly (Achalarus casica)
Copyright: Regina Cutter Edwards
Desert Cloudywing Skippers can be seen skipping from flower to flower in search of nectar. The males search for females among flowers and grasses while occasionally stopping to sip nutrients from mud puddles. These small dark skippers are fun to watch as they flitter through grasslands, wooded edges, and dried water streams.
